About Lavik

Redis-compatible development, with value capacity on NVMe SSD.

What Lavik Does

Lavik is an Apache 2.0 key-value store. It uses the Redis wire protocol and familiar clients, keeps its key index in DRAM, and stores values on NVMe SSD. Strings, Hashes, Sets, Sorted Sets, Lists and Streams use the storage engine; SSD storage is not limited to String values.

This documentation targets the v0.2.0 stable release. Choose a version in the sidebar to view 0.1.0 or the earlier beta. Start with the command and client forms documented here, then rehearse your workload, recovery procedure and latency objective.

Choose Your Deployment

Standalone runs one lavik process. Managed Single adds Meta authority with one Group, all 16 logical databases, and Single-mode client behavior. Managed Cluster uses Redis Cluster routing, DB0 and same-slot multi-key rules. Run Meta voters and replicas on separate failure domains for host-level availability.
